Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing or using Palabrio you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of them, do not use the app.

Description of the service

Palabrio is a word game for mobile devices: you connect the letters on a wheel to form words and fill in a crossword. It is offered free of charge, without ads and without in-app purchases, and works without an internet connection.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Palabrio on your personal devices, solely for personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include:

• Selling, renting, sublicensing or commercially exploiting the app.
• Modifying, decompiling, reverse engineering or attempting to access the source code, except to the extent permitted by law.
• Removing proprietary, copyright or attribution notices from the app.
• Using the app in an automated way (bots, scripts, scrapers).

Acceptable use

You agree to use Palabrio lawfully and in good faith, without trying to interfere with its operation or bypass its technical limitations.

Definitions and third-party content

The word definitions shown in the app come from Wiktionary (Spanish edition) and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) and GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) licenses. That content remains subject to those licenses.

Definitions are collaboratively written and are provided only as an informational aid inside the game. Some definitions may contain errors, be incomplete, or not reflect usage in your region. They must not be taken as an academic, linguistic or professional reference. Some words may have no definition available.

The word-frequency lists used to rank difficulty are based on the FrequencyWords project, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, code, sounds and the selection and arrangement of its levels are owned by its developer and protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party content keeps its own licenses, noted above.

Your progress and local data

Your progress is saved only on your device. There is no copy on any server and no account to back it up. If you uninstall the app, clear its data or change phones without restoring a system backup, your progress may be lost, and we cannot recover it.

Updates and availability

We may release updates that add, change or remove content or features, including levels and definitions. We do not guarantee that the app will be available without interruption or free of errors.

Disclaimer of warranties

Palabrio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and absence of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of progress or data, arising from the use of or inability to use the app.

Termination

You may stop using Palabrio at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or withdraw the app or parts of it when necessary.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Uruguayan courts for any dispute relating to them.

Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms of Service. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
